Muriel E. Xochimitl, M.A.


Muriel Xochimitl is the founder and President of X-Factor Strategic Communications.

Prior to founding X-Factor, Muriel was the Director of Government Affairs and Communications for the Wasatch Front Regional Council.

Muriel has worked as the UDOT Region 3 Communications Manager and as a Communications Manager in UDOT’s statewide Planning Department.

Prior to working for UDOT, she was a Project Manager for The Langdon Group, a subsidiary of J-U-B Engineers, where she specialized in stakeholder outreach and strategic communications on city and state infrastructure projects.

Prior to moving to Utah, Muriel worked as a congressional staffer on the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee and as a Legislative Consultant for the National Tour Association.

Muriel has served as a Planning Commissioner in her home city of Eagle Mountain, Utah.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies.
